The first day of a 3-day Nor-Easter is nasty, but tomorrow the sub zero temps arrive and
will make everything much worse and much nastier.
Do it today, shovel, shop, stay warm, get gas!

A BIG shout out to AAA; I had a flat tire this morning on 2(90) East at about E.153rd. AAA showed up in approximately 12 minutes and he was about the nicest guy I've met in awhile; said he didn't want anyone to have to be stranded in sub 10 degree weather.

Many thanks to those with snow blowers who do their own sidewalks as well as those of their neighbors.
I'm still trying to figure out the residents who clear their driveways but ignore the sidewalks along the street??????

Good point, Dave.
If you have a snow blower, why not help out a neighbor?
The same with businesses.
My wife and I usually hit at least half of the sidewalks on our block ... if our neighbors don't beat us to it.
Do you know who also helps out his neighbors, but will never admit it?

Late summer doesn't seem that long ago. I still have this picture on my phone that I snapped at a September stop at Lakewood Hardware. Somehow, I don't see myself stopping there early tomorrow morning to snap another picture.
