From Lakewood City Schools: Child Endangerment Warning
Posted: Tue Dec 17, 2013 2:37 pm
Hi all,
Lakewood City Schools' parents received this message at 2pm today from Jeff Patterson.
On Monday, December 16, two of our Roosevelt students were approached by a driver in a black pickup truck on their short walk home from school. The driver offered a ride to the students, but they refused and the truck drove off. The district is working with the Lakewood Police regarding the incident.
There is no reason to fear for your child's safety walking to or from school, but it is always prudent to be aware of possible dangers and of those who may want to do harm to our students. Please report any suspicious behavior you or your child see to the Lakewood Police Department.
Thank you for your cooperation.
