Jim O'Bryan for Mayor!

Since it appears that certain high level City Hall employees are already being pushed as "City Hall's Mayor of Lakewood," I think it is time to push for "The People's Mayor of Lakewood" - i.e., Jim O'Bryan.

I'm pretty sure I've seen that face on the post office wall.

That was an interesting time in Lakewood.

Now the city seems less restless (at times under hypnosis) but thankfully not losing its edge.

Gary,

When it comes to party politics, I don't often agree with Jim.

When it comes to Lakewood, I almost always agree with Jim.

And I know which way Jim is running.

Jim is never running toward higher office, regionalism, power, narcissism, money, or party politics.

Jim is always running toward transparency, accountability, and - most importantly - a better Lakewood.

Matt

Thanks

I fear the thought of me running will cost more friends in government their jobs.

I would say, the above statement is mostly correct.

I would underline, "A better Lakewood, for Lakewood residents."

I would stop using taxpayer money to prop up business districts, and for a change take
business tax dollars and use them on residential improvements in neighborhoods, parks,
accessibility to the lake, and clean and safe.

But I would not hold your breath. I do not see me running at this time.

Too many things going on with AGS and new papers.

Perhaps, Matt could run. He seems to like elected office.

Jim, for what it is worth, the thought of you running scares the heck out of me. I have never seen you run, nor do I imagine you have ever run. The thought of you in short-shorts with a tank top and running shoes terrifies me.

Corey I understand, I get the same feeling about you when I think about you trying to be responsible.

Jim O'Bryan extends a hand to anyone and everyone - whether they accept his hand or not.

Jim is not even Mayor yet and he has already improved Lakewood-French relations, greatly.
