Who Runs The “City of Lakewood, Ohio” Facebook Page?

Does anyone know who runs the "City of Lakewood, Ohio - Municipal Government" Facebook page?

Virtually every post seems to be a retweet of a Dru Siley tweet - i.e., "Retweeted Dru Siley (@DruSiley):"

While Dru's comings-and-goings may be fascinating to some, it seems odd that City Hall wouldn't use this page for sharing original content or directing folks back to http://www.onelakewood.com content.

Note: This is an equal opportunity topic. See “Who Runs The 'Lakewood Observer' Facebook Page?” at http://www.lakewoodobserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12230.

Well the about page on the LakewoodFacebook page lists commrel@lakewoodoh.net
and the whois for the domain:
http://whois.net/whois/lakewoodoh.net

It lists city hall as an address, and a phone number that *could* be in City Hall....

That is the city of Lakewood. They have kept the old name, and still run their other
items through that.

What I did find amazing is that some of the other "open" "lakewood sites" are working
overtime to hide who owns them, and runs them. Some of it I understand, as one has
had interesting legal issues on the net before.

I mean even from day one Patch was listed plainly to America Online, no reason to hide.

One of the problems we had found in the past, was facebook and twitter will protect even
illegally used trademarked business names. Facebook would at least take them down, when
pushed with lawsuit, twitter has started to do the same but still responds much slower.

Which brings us back to City Paid Employees using Facebook under their name as an
official work site, which would break Facebook rules, and 1st Amendment rules.

One would hope that at some point city hall stopped being tricky and like the schools,
finally start to trust the citizens, and practiced what they preached.

FWIW

Jim,

It also helps bolster the political career of a non-partisan city employee who attends virtually every local Democratic event.

At least the folks at City Hall have been pretty transparent on who they are pushing for elected/appointed/anointed public office.
