I just heard that Danny's Deli was closed. Haven't been down there in a while.

There is a new diner there called Gray Dog.


Here's the corned beef menu, since that is what I will be missing from Danny's. Wonder what a Jawbreaker is.. hard meat? Corned beef with almonds? A really big sandwich?


Will be back to report on the quality when the food just purchased (not by me) is eaten. (not by me.)

That is a 2 minute walk from me. It is pretty good. We were there before they got the new sign. Think I might have to go down there for lunch again.

Was it open 3 months ago? I'm feeling a little guilty that I didn't try harder to support Danny's. The owners were very nice.

My friend who went to Gray Dog yesterday said that the corned beef was good, maybe slightly on the salty side but he would go back. His complaint is usually that you can no longer get a good old fashioned fatty corned beef sandwich, which to his way of thinking, is the only reason to get a corned beef sandwich.
