Lakewood's Taco Bell meets with the wrecking ball, err truck. As Lakewoodites watch as one of
their *top 30 places to get Tex-Mex on the Detroit Avenue Chow Line gets torn down.

Do not fret, and new bigger and better(?) Taco Bell will be back to replace this one at the
entrance to Lakewood's fabulous DowntowN area. For a long time many would have described this Taco Bell as the best Tex-Mex in town, but with the recent growth of Tex-Mex restaurants all over town, complementing our Colombian food at Barrocco, and Helvetica, and the Venezuelan Food at El Tango, it has fallen behind in its effort to present edible food for sober people, so a change was ordered.

Fear not, the NEW Taco Bell should be up serving cold mediocre Tex-Mex to the masses
again soon. And let's be honest it is certainly one of Lakewood's top 15 restaurants after
2:00am when the drunks are leaving all of the bars in their cars, and need a quick bite of
"something," before driving home.

Peter Grossetti, LO's Community Outreach Coordinator takes a couple picture to remind
him of better days in Lakewood and why he is a vegetarian.

* At the time of building, we could only think of 29 possible other places to get tacos or
tex-mex, hence the top 30 claim.
