Post by Peter Grossetti »

The latest addition to Lakewood's Detroit Avenue Chow Line had its "soft opening" evening. The official opening is Thursday, Aug 15.

Beside a very long and diverse selection of wines, Humble will also feature craft beer, liquor, Neapolitan-style pizzas and other yummy stuff.

Was there for dinner on Friday night, kind of surprised to get a table within minutes of walking in the door. Place was jumping!

It was neat that Friday Night Porch Series at the Library was taking place and you could hear the Jazz Trio in the restaurant.

We decided to walk down to Deagan's to see if the crowd was a little lighter because of HUMBLE, but they were still very busy too.

Had the seafood (I can't off the top of my head recall whether it was lobster or shrimp) cantini, sausage pizza both enough for two people.

If you like a mixed drink, they will do those as well. My wife had Cosmo and loved it. I had Victory Prima Pilsner.

Just wondering, Tim ... was smoking allowed on the patio? Did you notice?

All I can say there was no noticeable odor of smoke during my time there, did not see any no smoking signs either.
