Paul Klinger, a resident of Lincoln Ave. that was nearly hit by the falling branch commented,
"I was on my way home from T.J. Butcher Block, where I went to gt a sandwich. Have you
ever tried their sandwiches..

Image
... I admitted I had and they are great. "Well so I have this ham sandwich in a bag and
CRACK and the thing fell right next to me. It could have killed me!"

Image
I asked what else he thought.

Image
While he pondered negligence, act of god, etc. He decided it would be best to go eat his sandwich.

Trees on wires put out the power on many.

All over town.

Meanwhile everyone at Chautauqua stayed dry and entertained.

Jim,

Except for a drip here and there, it was dry inside the tent. I assume that the tent lost power at some point before the event, as the whole thing was powered by a borrowed gas-powered generator.

Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry (on stage) never seemed to mind the weather. He probably sailed in worse.
