Allegedly
Police were called to Larchmont around 7 pm when the wife came home and began to
be threatened by her husband with a weapon who was threatening her and himself with harm.

The wife in an effort to calm the situation down and stop any harm from happening called
the police to come and intervene. Originally as often happens which is why domestic
problems are so dangerous for police. It aggravated the make, until the police through
time and serious quality effort were able to calm him down, and get him surrender himself
to the police.

I have rewritten this story after speaking with members of the family, as this is truly an
American tragedy, where the stress of life and the presence of weapons allowed things to
escalate to levels that were dangerous at the time.

Today, everyone is talking through the issues, and I hope we all want what is best for
everyone involved in this incident.

GREAT WORK LAKEWOOD POLICE!

Police and SWAT surrounded the house, and began a discussion with the husband who said
he had a weapon and would use it. In this photo were 6 police with vest and automatic weapons.

More police moved in as the discussions continued.

The call goes out that he had been talked out of the house and police swarm.

The suspect in the white T-Shirt is handcuffed and taken into custody.

Sorry, running and raining! Suspect being led away.

Being taken to the police station for booking.

Nothing to see move along.

GREAT WORK Lakewood Police Department.

Domestic arguments are some of the most deadly that a police officer can walk into. Once
the suspect realizes he is going to jail it gets very crazy, and weapons make it worse.
Lakewood Police were once again able to come the suspect down and talk them out
without a shot fired.

Larchmonter here. Glad no one was injured or killed. Thanks to the LPD for showing up quickly. Thanks, Jim for the pics and commentary. Hopefully all involved get whatever help they may need.

Esther

Thanks for the link, and great message.

This is another tragedy that could be brought on by so many things. Like so many things they
escalate with little or no thought of those involved.

Let's hope it all works out.

That's what good neighbors should be thinking.

After speaking with members and friends of the family today, it has come to my attention
that this was nothing more than a series of personal tragedies, that went terribly wrong for all involved.

PLEASE give them space and respect as they work through this as a family.

The day-to-day stress often takes a terrible toll on everyone, and this time as it often does it reaches
a terrible crescendo that all too often involves guns, threats of violence.

This time with support of the Lakewood Police and family it ended peacefully.

My hopes and prayers are with the family.
