A Local Family Needs Your Help

Post by Kristine Pagsuyoin »

A local family with four children lost all of their beds and a couch due to a crisis in the housing unit. We have exhausted all of our known resources. If any one is able is help out this family with donated beds or a couch or know of a resource thay may be of assistance, please contact Donna Rakerd at the Lakewood Family Collaborative (Department of Human Services, Division of Youth), 216-529-6108. She may also be reached by email: Donna.Rakerd@lakewoodoh.net

Thank you for your help.

Kristine

I was under the impression that this was from a few weeks back and the LFC was able to secure beds and a couch for them. Has something changed?

Hi Grace,

Not sure, but I can find out. I saw it posted again under the Lakewood Family Collab discussions so I posted here to get it noticed. I'll let everyone know. Thanks!

Grace,

This family did receive assistance; however, there are other families in need and so the Division of Youth is taking all donations. The coordinator of services is not really sure why this particular posting was sent out a second time, but the thought is there may have been some confusion since there are other families in need.

Once again this community came through for their fellow neighbors. I know the Division of Youth is always so pleased and grateful when the community pitches in to help. The people in this office are really devoted to the families they help and they work really hard. If you or others out there have donations please contact Donna (listed in the above posting) at the Division of Youth.

Thanks for asking and following up on this family Grace.
