How can one person do it all?

The Reflections ceremony is at Lakewood High School and is always amazing. You get to see Lakewood's emerging artists and thinkers-- from Kindergarteners through 12th grade--with their photos, films, songs, paintings.

The Community Diversity Potluck has great food and great people. It's not too late to figure out a dish to bring-- (you can make your favorite family recipe and bring it with you) and head to the Women's Pavilion at Lakewood Park tonight. I have been there without making anything-- though I think a good one for tonight would be my Czech Lakewood grandmother's potato soup-- and have been fed and talked to all the same, meeting great people, a couple of whom turned out to live on my street.

Both of these events will be warm and fun-- if you're not booked for tonight.. see you there.

This is from a Reflections ceremony a couple years ago. Note the number of public officials attending. It's a big deal to have so many thoughtful, talented children here. Our future.
