The Observation Deck

I woke up this morning to walk the dog, grabbed the phone, and headed out the door. When
I looked down to see what was going on, I had two weather alerts. One for "A Flood Watch"
and a second for "A A Real Flood Watch for Lakewood."

So after I got back to the house I grabbed the camera and walked over to the only river in
Lakewood looked over it's bank, some 250' high and was amazed. The river was high but
not to the level to cause stuttering or biblical predictions.



You have to agree someone is thinking we are getting a serious amount of rain in the next
24 hours if this prediction is correct.

Sounds like a good day to stay in; cuddle on the couch with your honey and any pets you may have; and watch a movie or two or three.

Any suggestions?

I hear that Bruce Brown's seminal 1966 surf movie "The Endless Summer" is worth a view.

A favorite in the Grossetti household is "Brother Sun Sister Moon" ... Franco Zeffirelli's 1972 biopic of Saint Francis of Assisi (a personal hero for so many reasons).

Speaking of arks ... "Evan Almighty" starring Steve Carell is silly and fun-filled.

Perhaps the flood watch is for our basements.
