Mayor Michael P. Summers enjoying lunch at Pier W.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of sitting down with my old friend Mike Summers for lunch.
After two hours of great conversation it would seem the Mayor has a good feeling for 2013.
It was nice to hear and as always to get caught up on what we are doing in our real lives.

Next time you should hit him up for the Sunday buffet, but I think that you should know that by now.

See, you have learned already! Never take notes from me.
Actually I will be at Pier W on the 26th - to celebrate one of the most important days of my life.

Nice. I like your spunk. GED was a safe bet.
Actually, we will be celebrating the one year anniversary of our daughter's massively involved open heart surgery at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas with Dr. Charles Fraser, once a long time Cleveland Clinic surgeon. She came out with flying colors and showed the world just how tough a 7 (now

year old can be. She left her mark with the surgeons, doctors, hospital staff and the entire city of Houston. In fact, less than two months later she broke her first board in karate and moved up a belt. She is my hero, hands down.

That is AMAZING. Best wishes to her and your family!

First, you know how much I love you, your family, and everything that has flowed out of your
family from the kids and their amazing stories, to everything you and Kara do through The
Jordan Family Foundation, to other charities and great events. You do the Rossen family and
the city proud.
BUT, you know I have a big butt.
This thread is damn near perfect Corey ADD thread drift. Pier W is not even serving a buffet
on the 25th! But then I suppose segues are for amateurs.

Jim, I knew that you would know that.
Actually I will be there on the 26th, a year ago on the 25th I was scared beyond possible imagine. (And I believe the buffet is on the 27th.)

So, this thread is not about buffets?

Fast forward to August 2015 ...
... and this January 2013 photo makes for a great photo caption contest ...
... knowing what we all know now.

To Corey,
2 years after your daughter's surgery - I am grateful that you and your family had an excellent outcome from probably the scariest situation you could ever have imagined. Thanks for sharing that on the deck - 2 years ago, before I'd ever heard of you.
