First Federal of Lakewood's Presents The Big Check to LHS

Tonight between the LHS girl's Basketball game and the boy's, Gary Fix, CEO of First Federal of Lakewood, along with CFO Tom Fraser, and Senior Vice President David Shaw, stopped by the gymnasium to present the BIG CHECK $320,000 to the Lakewood Board of Education for securing the naming rights to First Federal Lakewood Stadium.
The Big Check represents a 10-year agreement with First Federal of Lakewood and Lakewood Schools. First Federal Lakewood is a longtime civic supporter of many organizations and events in Lakewood. Superintendent Jeffrey W. Patterson said, “We are grateful for their partnership and look for the opportunity to replicate this type of agreement with others in the future.”
School Board President Betsy Bergen Shaughnessy said, “It is critical that the school district and the local business community work cooperatively to support our students.”
The agreement, which begins April 1, 2013, will see First Federal of Lakewood signage on the Press Box, Scoreboard, end zones and other places. The money will be used to help maintain the stadium over the next ten years.
