Ohio Chautauqua 2013 - Looking For Singers/Musicians!

Ohio Chautauqua 2013 – the 15th annual tour – will be held in Lakewood June 25th through June 29th at Lakewood Park with the incredibly popular theme of When Ohio was the Western Frontier. Each evening, audience members will have an opportunity to come face to face with history when they meet one of the following:
Naturalist and folk hero, Johnny Appleseed
Frontier aristocrat, Margaret Blennerhassett
Iroquois leader, Chief John Logan
Lewis & Clark expedition member, York
The hero of the Battle of Lake Erie, Oliver Hazard Perry
Each evening’s performance is preceded by a musical program from 6:00pm – 6:50pm. The time period is approximately 1760-1812. Open musical auditions will held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 16400 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood, on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 6:30PM to 9:00PM and on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM. Period specific music is required for the event in June but you may audition with any song/music. An Audition Form must be completed and turned in prior to auditioning (fill it out and bring it with you). Auditions will be first- come-first-serve and you must remain at Trinity until your audition is completed. Performers are responsible for their own equipment and set up. There will be a piano and accompanist available. Performers will be notified via email of the outcome of their audition no later than February 15, 2013.
