Chris
Did he mention how it grew from Joe Beno's number of 70+?
Just curious.

It was a side comment made in discussion of the Tree Task Force appointments he made. Something along the lines that they had just finished the audit and they came up with 550 trees. That is both public and private trees. Maybe Joe's is just public. Can you direct me to where you saw Joe's quote of 70? I'm just curious. Yesterday was the first time I heard any number, just wondering where I missed it. Thanks!

Holy Hevea Brasiliensis, Chris!
That seems like a lot of trees. 550 trees?
I'm curious as to whom Mike appointed to the "Tree Task Force." Can you share?
Thanks, Chris.

I dont recall both of his appointees (I would have to go back to my recording, which is at home) but one is an arborist, and occasional Observer columnist John Palmer.
Council still gets to appoint 3 citizens and a councilperson to the Task Force.

Chris
This was in a discussion with Joe Beno in the lobby of City Hall.
About a week after the storm.
It is great to know they had one arborist on the committee.
