And "they" still hold BoE and City Council meetings on the same night!!!

Do "they" not realize?

Do "they" not care?

Do "they" do this intentionally (for whatever reason)?

Let's say "we" do something about this. Meet me at Root Cafe Saturday morning (November 12) at 8am if you want to be a part of the "we" who finally takes steps to stop this foolishness.

Hey Peter,

In all the election chaos I missed this. This is a great idea. In the end, making it possible for members of the public (and the media, and maybe even other elected officials) to be able to attend both meetings will be good for everyone, citizens and City Council, Mayor and Board of Ed and administration.

Each of them meet every other week, I think-- so if Mondays are their only good nights, they could stagger the meetings. Council 1st and 3rd, School Board 2nd and 4th. Or maybe I'm missing something that makes this more complicated. We can certainly find out. It's likely that everyone currently in office inherited this system.

I will see you there if I'm in town. (Kids are out of school-- Thur Fri, teacher conferences-- so it's a long weekend for us...)
