Sunday, the Lakewood Outdoor Basketball Committee had an announcement at Kauffman
Park Sunday to announce they were breaking ground at Lakewood Park Monday morning!

Stephanie Toole, Mike Deneen, Jimmy Dickens and others gather to hear the news.

Supporters like the Grossetis stand both happy and amazed this day has finally happened.

A nice group gathered in a cold rain with little notice to help celebrate.

Today they broke ground at Lakewood Park.

And as always Stephanie Toole was there. Stephanie is one of my home town heroes.
She has pushed and helped and spoke and had fundraisers with the help of LOBC, but
she refused to take no for an answer when it comes to kids, and kids health.

As she gets ready to leave to walk her dogs in Lakewood Park, she stops and takes a
pretend shot at the soon to be installed hoops. SWISH! Nothing but net, from this
Lakewood Powerhouse - LAKEWOOD GIRL POWER!

No need to worry parents the city has cameras there that will stop any trouble, graffiti
or vandalism from happening.
THANK YOU LOBC for all you have done, next stop Madison Park, Wagar Park, Webb Road Park!
