One of the many rat rods there. I have grown a fond appreciation for rat rods. They take
as much work as a fine paint job to maintain perfectly. And thousands of dollars and hundreds
of hours go into making them look this bad, just right!

Councilwoman from Ward 4, Mary Louise Madigan, was making the "Mayor's Choice" and
here she had fallen in love with the Giorgis Austin Mini Moke.

Bill Gaydos shows son Matt the "Rat Fink" art on the door. Big Daddy "Rat Fink" Roth was
the artist of the day back in the 60s.

Cars and girls. This girl's father owns the car.
This note came in from Samantha Reed, the girl in the photo.
Samantha Reedy stands in front of her father's (Danny Reedy) 1927 Paige. Her dad found parts of in an old hardware store in Akron while working for an auctioneer. He saved it from being scarpped. It sat for awhile while before he decided to put together a frame for it. The engine block came(a chevy 305) came from my neighbor across the street..out of an old work truck he was scrapping. almost everything on the car except the radiator and carbreator are found items or stuff my friends have given me.There is a total of less than $2,000 spent building the car in it's current condition all parts and materials included...everything the old fasioned way the way a true hot rod should be. Danny was raised by his grandfather Darrell Ward who used to restore model T and model A Fords So, he grew up in the garage around vintage cars. When my dad brought this pile of parts home Grampa wanted him to get started right away putting it all together.I had alot going on at the time and just couldn't get to it.Grampa ended up getting cancer and passing away. It was only after he passed that Dad realized the importance of putting the car together and keeping his word to him. When he became a father he quickly understood the importance of the things he had learned out in the garage with gramps and has tried to instill those same values in my brother and I .Hard work, self reliance,Honesty, loyalty and creativity. All of thesethings that I had learned from old cars.

Thank you for your interest in our car...Dad built a lot of stuff and sometimes it's just another project..it's only when others enjoy it that it becomes more than a pile of rusty parts. Thanks! Danny, Samantha & Jacob
