A major Boehner

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/stu ... d=16794557Representative Boehner has "Hammered" President Obama after mentioning a report by Professional services company Ernst and Young. The report was commissioned by opponents of raising nominal taxes on the rich from 35 percent to 39.5 percent. the conclusion of the report claims such a nominal tax increase would cost "700,000 jobs". The newspaper article does not describe the methodology of the report or how it came to its conclusions...: I suspect a 1-900-psychic hotline would have yielded results just as reliable.
but...American History shows progressive income tax rates have little to do with economic growth or employment rates. In conclusion, rationality is a handicap.

unless you are john kerry, rich usually means that you are a business owner...someone who earned their money and uses said money to employ people.
if you own/run a business, tax increases mean more money out and less money to invest in hiring or expanding.
it's not rocket science.

I think they made a mistake when they wiped out the estate tax.
A better plan would be to let productive people keep their money working (reducing income taxes) and tax their estate heavily when they die. The children of the rich have every advantage while growing up and don't need an inheritance.

profits are taxed. wages and salaries are expenses of the business. cutting progressive taxes was an incentive for companies to fire workers, outsource, and engage in gleefully rapacious and frequently self-destructive leveraged buyouts and mergers and acquisitions.
it is history. it is not rocket science.

do you own a business? my family does. and guess what? increased taxes do not bode well.
we have put a freeze on hiring because of taxes, or more specifically the threat of higher taxes (not to mention obamacare..our hr rep is working overtime to figure that out). it's hard to bet on the future when you have no idea how much the government is gonna make you pay for your hard work, risk and time.
sure, wages and expenses of the business are the businesses responsiblity. so are taxes.
so lets try some math...if a business has to pay the employees, business expenses and higher taxes what does that leave? lemme answer, no room for more. no room for expansion. no room for new hires.
history? yeah, ok.

it's in more places than you would think, obryan.
we started out mostly in horses. tack, bridles, harnesses, etc. catered to the amish. they liked how our product was sweat resistant for their hard working horses.
rydell with football helmet chinstraps soon followed.
dog collars. guitar straps. patient restraints. baby products. belts. and on and on.
it's a great product with tons of applications.
as an aside, larry labtech is not only an employee at bioplastics for well over fifteen years, he's also a lakewood resident. as is my brother who produced and narrated the ads.

Why haven't we done the story?!!!!!
Have they spoken with Team Wendy? Simpson? Arai? Hans?
That stuff seems incredible.
Very cool.

the taxes do not impact your families' business more than any other business in its weight class in America. The Affordable Healthcare Act bill does not impact your relatives' business any more than any other business of its weight class in America. So; it is no competetive disadvantage to them.
history shows it isn't a big deal. reagan and his boys raised the payroll taxes, and private business taxes, which affected most small businesses negatively. who cut the FICA taxes and their self-employed equivalents?
I personally oppose the Affordable Healthcare Act. Only because I oppose any legislation of Congress that is more than a few hundred words long.
most of the stuff we take for granted is a result of the progressive movements and global superpower preoccupation; so we gotta pay for it in the progressive ways. oh well. if you wanna roll back the clock 90 years I will explain what that entails.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/cbo-to-em ... le/2503013According to the updated estimates, the amount of deficit reduction from penalty payments and other effects on tax revenues under the ACA will be $5 billion more than previously estimated,” the CBO reported today. “That change primarily effects a $4 billion increase in collections from such payments by employers, a $1 billion increase in such payments by individuals, and an increase of less than $500 million in tax revenues stemming from a small reduction in employment-based coverage, which will lead to a larger share of total compensation taking the form of taxable wages and salaries and a smaller share taking the form of nontaxable health benefits.”
In short, CBO revised the Obamacare tax burden upward by $4 billion for businesses and $1 billion to $1.5 billion for individual workers.

ok, so let me get this straight...because a tax increase affects all of those businesses in our "weight class" the same way then said tax increase is ok? because it doesnt cause a "competitive disadvantage"?...raising taxes is right on time? a-ok? on the level?
maybe not a "competitive" disadvantage, but a disadvantage nonetheless.
msnbc called...they want their talking points back.

the rules are simple:
interstate highway syste==> progressive income taxes.
highway enabled suburban sprawl==> progressive income taxes.
highway enabled big box retail==>progressive income taxes.
financially subsidized suburban sprawl==>progressive income taxes.
rural electrification and indoor terlets==>progressive income taxes.
war on drugs==> progressive income taxes.
war on terror==> progressive income taxes.
military bases around the world==>progressive income taxes.
free trade, low tariffs, GATT, Bretton Woods, NAFTA, the WTO==>progressive income taxes.
it would be nice to go back 90 years. but then most of the accountants and human resources specialists would have to go back to being secretaries, clerks, and bookkeepers. Your family's company wouldn't have worry the human resources department about dealing with the Affordable Healthcare ACT, and they wouldn't have to have a human resources manager either. they wouldn't have an interstate to take to north ridgeville. I don't know if the engineers and chemists who started the company came up when the government was spending a lot of money on math and science instruction and subsidizing the university programs for the best students. but the military is listed as one of your customers, so you can see the need for progressive income taxes.

oh, wait i forgot...our family "didn't build that". did you conference call david axelrod for that reply? interstates and education? that is the biggest reach i have ever seen in my entire lifetime to rationalize why small businesses should pay higher taxes. ok so in that vein of logic taxes also support the endowment of the arts. well, shit where are my tickets to the kennedy center? taxes support universities. where are my free classes? taxes bailed out GM...still waitin on that car. taxes support the military. oh, wait, i already get my return on that investment every day when i wake up in freedom.
speaking of the military so what if BioPlastics has the united states military as one of our customers? so the u.s. military shouldnt get products from the u.s.? or should they even get products at all? ooooh, the evil military! can you even imagine the scandal if the u.s. military purchased things that it actually needed to function? oh, heavens!
or do you just not support any spending for the military, domestic or otherwise?...careful, your inner Chris Matthews is showing.
