STAY COOL CITY! - LONG HOT SUMMER COMING!

While most Lakewoodites were familiar with the heated words going between Lakewood
residents to Lakewood Planning Commission about their mandate "to persevere neighborhoods."
Then many might have thought it was the heat fired back by the Director of Building, Dru
Siley towards the LPC for upholding neighborhoods over commercial development. Ot the
heat some resident are starting to show over the unreasonable closing of parks.
But the heat I saw was short tempers everywhere, and in a long hot summer it has got to be
cooled off, and respect shown. I was working on two papers this weekend so I really had no
time to walk or drive the city but in two trips caught some heat...
Resident hauled away to the slammer, after what appeared to be a neighborhood argument.
Surrounded by police, this young man was then off to jail.
On McKinley the police had these two in cuffs then off to the station.
Even this child was frisked, checked out.
Then right in front of me driving down Detroit, punches and shouting at Bobby O's.
one last swing
police came to the call in seconds
and cooler heads tried to prevail.
