Reality Check On What Is Important

Yet once again, Cancer has crept into the the life of friend. This person has been with the Observer almost since the start, recently married. They make the perfect couple. Yesterday she was diagnose with cancer, and rushed into surgery.
Whenever I hear the C-Word I think of this quote. Each one of us should say it aloud every morning and once again at night.
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

It just occurred to me that life is much like cancer. It is best to discover it early.
My thoughts and prayers to all that have gone through it, will go through it, and a huge cheer for the millions of survivors around the world, and to those helping them fight.
