The Observation Deck

This morning I started getting calls and texts at daybreak, "did you hear about Zapitelli's?"
"No, what? and they would say a big going out of business sign at Zapitelli's/ I laughed and
said "its April 1, get real." They said "no really!"

I said I was there last night picking up a BOB, a weekly special and a salad. Adam was in
great form, breaking in a new person while the kitchen was so busy it was crazy. There
was a line out the door for pick-ups as the delivery guy went flying by twice while I was
there. Maybe he was just overworked and overwhelmed!


Sure enough a sign in the window and the lights off. Hmmmm


Maybe it was so busy he was moving on?


Then a car pulled up and Adam got out, "You already hungry? You just ate a Bob 14 hours
ago?" I told him of the calls, and showed him the texts and he had a big smile on his face.
"I thought it would be funny on April Fools Day." I mentioned, "This city takes its good
restaurants very seriously. Don't joke like this again."

Just moments ago while making plans for dinner, I had gone to their website, which states they are "closing their doors." I started to panic and quickly checked the LO for the scoop.

They got me!

Thanks for clearing this up and saving me the embarrassment of "gettin' got on the spot" when I head over there to pick up tonight.

Just another reminder of why I can't stand April Fools' Day. Sigh........
