Last Session of School in the Cinema

Post by Christina McCallum »

Tomorrow night the last film in the School in the Cinema documentary series shows in the auditorium at Lakewood Public Library's main building.

"Including Samuel," which will begin at 7:00 p.m., addresses the issue of including students with disabilities with the typical student population. Director Dan Habib recorded his family's efforts to include his son Samuel, who was born with cerebral palsy, in as many activities and experiences as possible. Interviews and profiles of other students and families working on inclusion are incorporated into the film.

Join Lakewood Council of PTAs and the Friends of Lakewood Public Library tomorrow at 7:00!

This has been a wonderful series covering a range of educational issues. Thank you Christina, Lakewood Council of PTAs and Friends of Lakewood Library for putting it together.

For anyone interested in education, the City Club will be hosting Diane Ravitch on February 3rd. The title of her talk is "The Death and Life of the Great American School System."
