Truly the Apocalypse is upon us. As you know, one of the signs is Lakewood Community leaders performing Beatles songs...
All You Need is Love (and Food)
Saturday, January 28, 2012; 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Location: Lakewood Masonic Temple (15300 Detroit Ave)
Suggested Admission: $10.00/person + 1 canned good.
Concert: Dozens of area musicians and some of Lakewood's community leaders will take the stage to perform the music of THE BEATLES. Lakewood's Root Cafe will also provide a coffee and espresso bar as well as delicious home-baked sweets and treats. All proceeds will support the hunger relief efforts of TLCO.
Beneficiary of Proceeds: Trinity Lakewood Community Outreach (TLCO), a dynamic and fast-growing Lakewood organization whose mission is to raise funds for hunger relief.
Trinity is doing great and important work to keep Lakewood going-- this sounds like a great event. I do not know who will be performing, but I'm picturing a lot of interesting scenarios... hoping that some of our community leaders intend to harmonize, as the planets align and all of that.
Happy New Year. It sounds like 2012 is off to a good start.
