The Observation Deck

Luma Mufleh, subject of the New York Times National Bestseller, Outcasts United, will be speaking at a free event Tuesday, December 6 at 7pm in the Garfield Middle School Auditorium. (It was previously reported in the Observer as Wed., Dec. 6) Mufleh is the coach of the Fugees, an all-refugee soccer team from Clarkston, Georgia. She was invited by Facing History and Ourselves and the Allstate Foundation to be their annual Community Conversations speaker. Check out this link to a CBS News segment about her.
