Grocery shopper program

We were at Heinen's today. I keep a shopping list on the computer so we just have to check an item off when we need it. But my list is old and they have rearranged the store, so I decided to make a new one (I put items on the list in the order that we come to them as we walk down the aisles). So I went to Heinen's web site, hoping to find a store map, but they didn't have one so I'll have to make my own.

Anyway, the reason I am posting is that I found on their web site a loyalty program they have started. I'm not sure what, if any, rewards they give to you directly, but if you sign up, they keep track of how much you spend, and donate a small percentage of that to the school of your choice; Lakewood schools are among those you can choose.

I don't know if this is a new program, or just one I hadn't noticed, but it seems like an almost painless way to help the schools.

Thanks for sharing this information Will. I am a frequent shopper at Heinens and was unaware of the frequent shopper program offered by their store. I will be sure to sign up for Lakewood Schools.

I already participate in the Giant Eagle, GFS(w/ their frequent shopper card you can support the LHS Cross Country Team here!!) and Target shopper programs as well as save my share of Box Tops for Education and those good ol' Campbell Soup 'labels' that I've been saving since I was in elementary school!

I went back on line through some past issues of the Harding Herald and found this in the Sept. issue(I missed it the first time!):

Scroll down a few pages and check out the ways you can support Harding.

Hayes PTO also participates in these programs. You can check out their Chalk Talk on line: http://lakewoodcityschools.org/docs/new ... er2011.pdf

Even LHS includes ways you can painlessly support them with reminders in the Ranger Round Up: http://lakewoodcityschools.org/docs/new ... 202011.pdf

It's the Heinen's Tasteful Rewards program:

If you have their frequent shopper card, you can go to the above website to enroll.

It was super easy to enroll. You just need your Heinen's Preferred Customer card numbers handy.

Hardest part: deciding which school in Lakewood to register it to....I choose Hayes since my two youngest go there.
