One of the houses going all out on Cannon Ave.

The Lakewood Observer printed issues, highlights this street as having the best Halloween
spirit in Lakewood. The entire street gets into it, and as more move in, more join in building
larger displays each year.

The street features flying ghouls, ghosts, actors, moving displays, great candy, and even
some fun for adults. Each year they take it down the next day, but we have convinced them
to leave it up for another day for Observer readers.

If you get a chance stop by.

This place was nuts! Devils flying through the air, almost running into you, ghosts flying up the sides of buildings and disappearing in the air. Crazy wolfman chasing you down the street, and further down, getting kidnapped by pirates, who actually danced some kind of sailor's dance around the the trick or treaters, daring you to try to leave. Or stay. What a fun street. From what I heard last night, the original decorators started out as renters, and when it came time to buy a house, they bought the one across the street-- and kept the tradition alive.

I don't know how much of it will still be running--- (not sure about the bubbling cauldrons and the zombies appearing) but I want to see it one more time tonight. From what I hear, it changes a lot (and grows) from year to year.

Thank you crazy Cannon Avenue. What a great time.

Waves and sharks, and little ghost skeleton pirates peeking through the waves telling you about how you were doomed.

This is the other side of the yard. Yes that's a real pirate on the end.
