Our nation has been at war for the last 10 years.
and has one of the biggest militaries and science work regardless.
and most folks wanna live in the suburbs.
Ike Eisenhower's Presidency said one powerful statement: "we've got to pay for the stuff".
The current crop of right wing pundits and statesmen have no value. they are worse than hippies tripping off their rockers on LSD.
progressive income taxes. raise corporate income taxes as well. prune the deductions and loopholes. shut down the Caimans. don't worry, d-bags: you'll still end up keeping at least half of your income over threshhold X.

So, you are against corporations finally having to pay there fare share with-out any loopholes?

1. As an atheist, I wouldn't think you'd care about, or even believe in, the anti-christ.
2. If I were to suggest that Obama was the anti-christ, I'd expect to be denounced as a racist. Would you, therefore, expect to be called a racist for your comparison?

It appears that Herman's popularity among Republicans is causing problems for some of the liberal elites. The stereotype that all Republicans are racist is kind of hard to propagate and sell when the leading presidential canadidate for the Republicans is non-white.. Reality sucks sometimes!

I don't think its stopped them. It has led them to make even more unusual statements, though.
- Janeane Garofalo says people love him to hide their racist tendencies. So, they like him because they hate him but they don't want anyone to know it?
- Ed Schultz thinks that he's pandering to "white Republicans out there who don’t like black folks"
- Cornel West has simply don't him to "get off the crack pipe".
- I don't remember what Harry Belafonte had to say, but it wasn't kind.

Herman Cain I left the Democrat plantation a long time ago, I’m not the only black person out there who shares these conservative views. The only tactic that they have to try and intimidate me and shut me up is to call me names.”

Roy - It was a joke son. Stephen and I are going to take up a collection and buy you a personality and a sense of humor.

One more thing, I'm not an atheist. I never said I was.
You've made an assumption.
Have you ever heard of a token? One that is not for a gaming casino or for a bus, but one that may be a person. Do some research.

I will grant you there would be some debate regarding my personality, but I do have a sense of humor. Sometimes, for me, humor doesn't translate well when written, where you lose vocal inflection. Sarcasm, for example.
But, if you and Stephen really want to collaborate on something, I'd settle for a single, conservative woman, preferably around my age...

Given your reaction to my posting of a biblical verse some months ago, I did come to that conclusion. I also thought I remembered seeing you write it somewhere, but obviously not.
I apologize.

Very interesting
Stephen / Roy
I see you hate paying more taxes, so why back a plan that would see your taxes double?
Just curious.

Have you only considered the Federal income tax you'd pay, or have you also factored in the added 9% sales tax on everything you buy?
Trust me, if this ever became reality, the devastating effect on the lower and middle class, and the accompanying increase in the misery index in this country would drive "Occupy"-style protests through the roof.
999 might also be how many billions are added to the deficit each year.
But hey, as long as the rich are paying lower taxes, it must be good, right? Like so many of Cain's positions, this was devised in order to get attention, not as a serious policy proposal.
