In just one week, Wednesday, October 19, the Lakewood Earth And Food (LEAF) Community will host it's fifth annual Harvest Festival!. Be sure to check out the article in the October 4 issue of the LO http://lakewoodobserver.com/read/2011/1 ... t-festival.
If you haven't been by the Library on a Wednesday night this summer (or fall), next week is your last chance to check out LEAF Night until the spring. You do not have to have purchased a CSA share to show up and join in the festivities.
Bring the kids for apple bobbing, fall crafts and a special performance by Foster Brown, bring your appetite to chow down on delicious recipes made with local produce and bring your wallet to patronize some great local artisans and farmers.
See you next Wednesday, October 19 from 5:30-8:30pm in front of the Main Library to help LEAF celebrate the bounty of the fall harvest and close out another fabulous growing season filled with local food!
