The premise of free trade deals are false.
the economic theory behind them requires so many conditions and constrictions that the promoted benefits of them are completely unrealistic.

Tariffs are not a trade war.
The only trade war the U.S. has is with Cuba.
Cubas job is to be America's rhetorical punching bag.

Trade does not prevent wars. or even cold wars.



Romney talks tuff on China...
American voters will feel good about him talking tough about China, and
blaming China for American problems.
Romney doesn't make sense. But voters will vote for him. Voters are

Romney's criticism of China is commonly used by other candidates and officials: each of them are not very good.

When a candidate mentions growing the economy by increasing exports...you should burn an effigy. not a big effigy in the streets. you might get arrested! just draw one onto a paper plate with crayons and burn it in your driveway!
