The Observation Deck

This morning I arrived home a little before 7am. I noticed a police car with an officer standing outside of it on Bonnieview and Detroit. I then noticed the same thing at the top of Granger. Once I got home on Granger there was yet another officer and car on the railroad tracks. There were several officers walking up and down the railroad tracks between Bonnieview and Granger. At one point there was an officer walking up Granger with a police dog. I usually try not to worry about this stuff but since it was literally in my yard at a time when I was getting children ready to be sent out the door to school I was a little freaked out. They did all leave a little before 8am and it didn't seem to me that they had found anyone or anything. I am curious what this was about.

Police were questioning someone about breaking into cars. The person fled, and they shut
off the area. It is actually kind of interesting how the do this. Then they brought in
the dog to find them.

To my knowledge suspect was not found. I've listened to the police scanner for years, and
I can only remember one other time when the grid was formed and the suspect got through.

Thanks for the update Jim. I certainly felt safe with all the police presense I was just curious what was going on.

I was heading to the Y at 6:30 and saw the police out in full force. Unfortunately they did NOT catch the punk, according to the police department. I guess it is a 20 year old with olive skin that has been starting to break into cars at approx 4am and hits a lot of cars. I was told by the police department to remember to take out all valuables from your car and lock the doors. Hopefully they will either catch him or he will stop.

Thank you Ryan. We always lock our doors but we will be extra vigalent plus I'll keep an eye out for the suspect.

This sounds very suspicious to me, maybe the police are looking for the wrong person. Can Ryan explain why he is awake at 6:30am and on his way to the YMCA. Seems like a pretty exagerated line from Ryan, whose going to believe he is at the Y? Certainly not the police dept.

Now, Ryan is accounted for. We can check the sign in at the Y front desk if need be. I signed in.

Let's see--- the only one not accounted for is the one throwing around all the false leads

I knew when they said a lot of cars had been hit that Ryan must have had an accomplice. Stan would fit the profile and we already know that he is a compulsive liar with his "I was at the Y" story. Ryan, you're going down for this but why are you taking Stan with you? Stan, you have to stop giving in to peer pressure and Ryan, quit being such a bully.
