Very interesting, would have loved to see more of the rooms and the layout. This could
certainly work for some of the schools and large churches with living quarters attached.

I have no idea how it's doing financially, but the former-temple-turned-hotel gets good reviews on tripadvisor and other sites, plus it looks stunning based on the Hotel Skyler's website photos.

The exterior of the building reminds me of the First Church of Christ, Scientist on Detroit.

I have no particular reason for revisiting this thread, outside of the sudden curiosity I had about what had become of this reuse project. The hotel is apparently pretty close to Syracuse University, which helps drive traffic.
