Three Birds and Block Now Owned by Mickey Krivosh

As hinted at weeks ago here on the Deck Mickey Krivosh has purchase the building, the parking lot, and Three Birds. This would give Mickey, one of Lakewood's biggest supporters,
and certainly, one of the biggest land owners on the West Side of Lakewood damn near a
monopoly and that side of town.
I could not be happier. Mickey loves Lakewood, and has built a great business with his son
Ryan at Around The Corner.
Tonight is their first happy hour, so stop in and say hi!
The future of Three Birds is still very much up in the air.
Good luck Mickey and Ryan!

Mickey is probably the one visionary who saw back in 1972 a place for an upscale, more regional bar and restaurant scene. His Mom helped in the kitchen and Mickey built the business and Lakewood benefited.
Oh, by the way, where is that fellow and his paper mache development corporation who wanted to make the West End into a K Mart/Target?
He's long gone. Mickey's still here along with the next LAKEWOOD generation.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Mickey was a vocal supporter of the West End development. Do you have different information?

To Mickey's credit, he did stand to make a fortune form his investments, but took the no vote in stride and is really working hard to mark the Scenic Park District a great area
to come and enjoy the evening. He has even been outspoken in the Chamber's recent
attempt to start another WestEnd Development thing, and realizes the term is just bad
for the city.

The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce has been facilitating West End merchants meetings in an attempt to get a more organized merchants association or business alliance going, such as exists downtown with the DLBA.

The future of 3 Birds looked bright tonight! There were so many people who stopped by to check out the new owners and the new happy hour that people were standing 4 people deep at the bar to get a drink (they were half-off after all). The servers took it all in stride and kept everyone well fed and watered. Both Mickey and Ryan were on hand overseeing the staff and clientele. Great to see such a large crowd out on a rainy, cold Monday supporting some of Lakewood's leading business owners.

I know, but some of the people are very opposed to the term WestEnd. The place has
always been badge "Scenic Park District" and some prefer that to the term WestEnd which
many see as a name they would rather not identify with.
There is also two other groups working to help them, and a SID being formed last time I
talked with the business associates that were looking into it. I know one group has met
with Coventry SID for help in setting up.
FWIW
