First weekend at the Beach!

Saturday was the first glorious day of the Spring. We headed to Huntington Beach to do some wading! We walked in the water and picked up beach glass. The only thing that would have made it better is if were able to get to the beach here in Lakewood. It seems strange to me to have the lake right down there through our whole city, but we can't get to it. I like Lakewood Park, but there's nothing like walking in the sand, with the waves coming up to your toes.
The water was pretty cold, but everyone went in. My daughter went in to recover the skipping stones that "didn't work" so she could try again. She insists she found the same stones.
It was a beautiful day. Lots more to come.
