I don't remember if there was a thread on this place, but the search found nada.

Just tried out Barroco and it was yummy. Met the owners and tried one of their Arepas with chicken, mushroom, onion, and cheese. Also had their arepa fries. They have 5 signature sauces of which I liked the garlic and spicy peanut. Was affordable and hope to go back again soon.

It is on the north side of Madison at the western entrance of Bird Town near St.Ceril's. I believe it used to be some pizza delivery place.

Mama. . . something. They used to have vegan pizza. I recognize the building.

Quickly becoming the hottest restaurant in Lakewood. This Easter weekend at least 6 people called and said, "hey let's go check out Barroco, my neighbor went and said it was great..." For that many to mention it to me, there must be a pretty large groundswell of people looking to check it out.

I also spent some time in Madison Village area of Lakewood with some businesses owners that are working on a festival of some sort to replace the Car Show which has moved west of Warren Road. The moved did seem odd as it could not have
been for room as the city had always been willing to throw in Madison Park, which would have taken it back to the Templar
Building, aka Screw Factory, so that it would have had a major impact for both artists, LEAF, and the businesses there.

What I love of these businesses is no crying just planning. The mood to come out of the meeting was something with music,
art, that would draw people into the area. They have some pretty successful festival planners there from Collinwood, and
Cleveland, so who knows.
