The Observation Deck

I had the pleasure of visiting the Lakewood City Schools Early Childhood Program last Thursday on the occasion of the Week of the Young Child. Although held at all our elementary schools, I was asked to attend Horace Mann and Hayes. The topic was encouraging Health and Fitness, which we know directly relates to the child’s success in school. Children participated in various stations promoting wellness, healthy food choices, and activity. Parents were given a resource guide with organizations, parks, and internet sources for related information. The children, their families, and our staff were great.
