According to the new study"The Persistence of Segregation in the Metropolis" by Brown University professor John Logan and Florida State University professor Brian Stults, Cleveland is the 8th most segregated city in the US.
Ain't we something.
Obviously the strategy of "Keep our borders safe" from the last round of local elections worked.

West 101st seems much more Integrated than i remember it being 25 years ago.
Maybe someday Lakewood will be just as integrated.
Ohio was not a slave state. there were relatively few blacks here until large migrations during the early half of the 1900s. in the absence of blacks, the waves of lower class southern whites drew the ire. the blacks made the hillbillies, crackers, and rednecks more acceptable.
I don't know what the metrics of the study are. Cities in the south tend to be much bigger in geographic area. Most neighborhoods in cleveland were established before cars, so they are smaller.
