So you are settling for McCain? Why not Cynthia McKinney or any other third party candidate as a protest? If you're pro-life, for a fiscally sound budget, anti-war, anti-spending, anti-tax than they both fail the litmus test. Both candidates are pathetic.. We shouldn't settle for mediocrity. If you vote for either Obama or McCain the result is equal. The rhetoric is different but those decisions that really effect the direction of this country will be are the same.

Voting for either one of these loser tickets is throwing your vote and your freedom away.

Stephen the tirade was because people at rallies are calling Obama a muslim and a arab and they are saying it like he is an evil person because of it. And the point of me getting upset was that video clip you showed was edited that way because people want to be able to say "look he's a muslim". His words were taken out of context. I get the emails from people saying he is an arab, muslim terrorist. The hate is disgusting. This all started today because I said that I was happy to see that McCain was correcting people today, that McCain was standing up for Obama. I have respect for him because of it. And I am glad that he wants to change the tone of his campaign. But it is still disturbing that many of his supporters booed him when he said that Obama was a good man, they booed when he was trying to change the tone, and that is just scary.

Most people that know me know that McCain was not my top choice.

I agree with more of McCain's ideas then I do about Obama.

McCain is the safer choice.

I am assuming that money was what she accepted during her campaign for governor. Comparing that to Obama's presidential campaign would be like comparing apples to oranges. In order for the amounts to be comparable we would need to know how much the McCain/Palin campaign has received from oil companies, their employees and their spouses.

The amount listed concerns her governors race. I am ok with her accepting that money from oil. that was one of the most trivial items listed.

I am more concerned with all the money she wasted as mayor, and how she ended up having raise sales taxes to cover that. that parallels all the funding Reagan, Bush II, and Bush I have spent and then borrowed for us to pay back with future taxes.

How she supported the bridge to nowhere until it became too unpopular, then kept the money earmarked for it anyways after opposing it. "$223 million in federal funds to other pork projects throughout the state." some pork is better than other pork.

Employed lobbyist to get pork for Wasilla: "As mayor, employed a lobbyist who also worked for Jack Abramoff to secure $27 million in pork spending for Wasilla — more than $4,000 per resident. In her two years as governor, requested $453 million in earmarks. Alaska ranks first in the nation for pork, raking in seven times the national average."

build 15 million dollar hockey ring: "Signature accomplishment as mayor: building a $15 million hockey arena that plunged the city into debt. Broke ground on the project without finalizing the city's purchase of the land; the resulting fiasco cost Wasilla $1.3 million — roughly $200 per resident."
