Over the last ten years workers in the private sector have agreed to wage cuts and benefit cuts. It's time for the government unions to step up to the plate.

If school board employees agree to a 15% cut in wages, a 4 year wage freeze and to pay 50% of their health insurance premium I will support a levy in the amount needed to balance the budget.

OK, but any teacher who would agree to that would not be of a caliber to teach my children. I would consider someone in that position "bottom of the barrel"
I make more than I made 10 years ago. So does almost everyone I know.
Teachers in Lakewood have gotten 2-3% raises, which is pretty close to what Ive received. And yes, there HAVE been staff cuts almost every year.
Would YOU take a 15% pay cut and agree to not get a raise for 4 years? Are you that rotten at your job that your grateful for anything you can get?
I think we can just count you as a "no" vote.
