Colleen,
if it makes you feel better, I am not stereotyping you. Remember my dad is a Republican and the best man I have ever known. I base ALL my opinons on you by what you put out there. Nothing more and nothing less. And yes there are gay Republicans. Brian has been off for awhile but he is one of two I know.

the "I have gay friends" card?
Well it's probably turned into the "I had a gay friend" card by now.
haha like the ones who say "I have a black friend" after they make a racist comment

Well thanks Colleen but I certainly have my plate full, heck I feel like I neglect things as it is. You know how it is, way too much to do and too little time to do it.
Jennifer I am not sure about the book as it hasn't been released yet, so I hate to comment when I have yet to read it. As to a moderator writing a book praising GWB I probably wouldn't care too much because I trust that journalists can be objective and that even if they prefer one candidate I also think that they can still be a fair moderator. I imagine that most journalists/tv anchors have their preferences when it comes to candidates, but I am going to give most of them the benefit of the doubt that they can keep those feelings to themselves.

You know I can really understand where Colleen is coming from. I think she's right. Obviously her broad knowledge and experience and the way she goes out into the world and helps people totally proves her veracity.
I am inspired and humbled truly.
Colleen it is an honor to read your words.
I'm Sharon Kinsella and went to 12 years of Catholic school and I approved this message.

does an off color remark make somone a racist? Funny, when a dem makes a racial comment, it is all good... But when a repub makes a similar comment, oh boy, the sky is falling... During the Fannie and Freddie hearings of 2003, Democrats accused republicans of being racist for questioning the loan practices of Fannie and Freddie..

Colleen, I would hope any moderator would be objective. You said Palin's camp may use that as an excuse. My point was, only if she(Gwen) isn't. We will know tomorrow. Thanks for your response!

Jennifer you can hold me to this, if she as a moderator seems to be overtly biased I will admit it here on the deck. And I hope she isn't because I think it's important that both vice presidential candidates have a fair chance to answer equal questions. I think that a biased moderator would do a disservice to both parties. I do worry (and I hope I am wrong) that if Palin does poorly the republican party will blame it on the moderator even if she is fair.

And where is that darn edit button?!?!?!
Luckily my mac catches most of my spelling errors but there are times when I have needed the edit button. So what gives, where is it?

Well Justine,
At least I will be in good company. Colleen is as solid as they come and I can't think of too many people who's company I would enjoy more.
