Bump.....

Mr Essi - Since you are not willing to answer Corey's question, would you be willing to tell us why you won't answer it?

(And please if you feel me asking this, warrants you calling me things like "intellectually dishonest", will you please also entertain me with one of your conspiracy theories linking me to Lee Harvey Oswald et al?)

Brad

Hi Brad,

Have you asked Summers why he won't answer what he plans to do with $16.5M in public money?

Please note above that al questions have been answered--the articles are a matter of public record.

As for conspiracies, it is Corey who has concocted a false conspiracy and made the accusation of fraud without any facts---he even claimed that I am after government money, when I hear his foundation may have actually received government assistance, but he won't answer. Ouch!

Brad,

If I ask you to please list al the charities you have contributed to in the last 5 years and if you don't answer, I'll accuse you of not answering and perhaps fraud.

LOL!

I find it interesting that people are so concerned and demanding of answers of a private citizen, yet not so of our government servants or the use of our tax monies.

I'm far more concerned with city officials' role in allowing an asset to be squandered and then using money intended for one purpose to be directed towards a yet to be named foundation that has no clear mission and rules and no named trustees. And no apparent input or veto power by the citizens or the people who contributed money.

Okay, I'll bite and indulge you. Now what are you accusing me of? How are you accusing our charity of receiving government assistance? Since you say you heard it from someone, who is your source?

These are in fact questions, so you may want to find a way to deflect or avoid answering them You better consult with your Round Table.

Glad to hear that you are concerned about Essi's organization. Is that what you meant?

No it's not what I meant at all and I won't let you twist my meaning.

Thank you for answering my question.

Corey is a troll, perhaps if we ignore him, he will go away. I truly encourage all to do so.

I generally do not respond but when he tries to twist my words I must respond.

I've noticed more and more that he uses special words and asks questions in such a way that it's my opinion that someone is asking him to post, thinking they'll "trap" someone. Of course, he'll deny it.

Good luck with that

2015 Troll of the Year, but I think the judging was fixed!

Usually it is a system of clicks, taps and stomps that helps me come up with my special words.

This reminds me of the story of Br'er Rabbit and his sticky friend Tar-Baby.

Funny, you remind me of Thumbkin...run and hide, run and hide. You pop up, dodge questions and run away, run away. This is getting comical, well at least I am amused.

I realize I am late to this discussion but found this thread during an attempt to get up to speed on other issues.

I speak for no one but myself. My best guess here is that Brian Essi initially set up his foundation not as a money grab, but as a name grab…a smart one I might add, given the shenanigans surrounding the hospital debacle.

Should he proceed in serving the underserved, I strongly suggest that he consider providing gap assistance to low income Lakewood residents with high deductible health insurance plans. Thanks to Ohio’s expansion of Medicaid, the lowest income households have their healthcare expenses covered. However, many low income households are strapped with high premium/high deductible plans that they simply cannot afford, let alone afford to use, especially in circumstances where prices are inflated/duplicated due to the changes in Lakewood healthcare delivery via the Master Agreement.

Meg--

How does the Master Agreement cause inflation or duplication of prices due to changes in Lakewood healthcare delivery? I haven't broken anything down yet. Please explain. Thanks.
