I don't agree with what you are saying...we are now in our what third week of school...they know how many kids are where, and I don't see it feasible to have a school with total 48 kids in kindergarten class to have 3 classes and a school with 55 can't. Last year we started with 3 teachers and after two weeks into school they changed it to two. Adjustments can be made as the enrollment changes in the "beginning" of the year. Didn't they just change Hayes from two to three?!

If I remember correctly last year at Lincoln a third grade class had 24 children in it and in October it changed to 31....they fought for another class...How's that for a stable area of our community?

If you call the schools they will be able to answer that question for you. I know last year it was during the previous school year. I'm guessing maybe April or May but I could be wrong.

So what is the solution? If you transfer a teacher from McKinley to Grant, Grant will have 18 students per class and McKinley will have 24.
And if you try to redraw maps to make it an even 20.25 kids per class, you would have to move students from one school and put them in the other. How would you react if you got a letter saying that next Monday your kid would be in a different school?

These youngsters are less than 30 days into an academic career that will last 13, 17 years or longer. Lets keep that in mind.
