When did Bob's cousin plan his son's "confirmation"? That Tuesday at 4:00pm. Or was it tied in to something else, like this coup? "Hey Bro, you have any kids we can get confirmed? Thank God! What is his name again?" I doubt it.
hahahaha.... no no... I wasnt going there.

I really only asked the questions because I dont want to jump to conlusions in either direction.

One thing I have learned from my father (who is in city politics) is that the public rarely has ALL of the data so i really do try to look first leap second.

Thank you, however, for your response - it filled in a number of gaps for me.

As for this quote:
I hope this is not the summer of grandstanding, but the summer where people get things done.
.. I think we can agree on that!

Always,

City Financing

Jim,

For the record:

Both the Hogsback Study and the Grow Lakewood Housing Fund (which is not a copycat of Cleve. Hts.) were both proposed by Mayor George.

Neither fund can be used to pay for streets.

Thanks for the note. This is why I am not a politician.

I also found out the study was mostly funded by NOACA, and that we only threw in $2,000.

Thanks again for the clarification.

what an interesting meeting, wow!

both good and bad points brought up by council and citizens.

the meeting started off slow but ended on a exciting note.

as one of the photographers tonight, I wanted to focus more on looks and body language more than words. I'll post pictures up pretty soon.. as i'm editing them at the moment.

to all that were in attendance, what did you guys think of the meeting tonight?

I was impressed with the sheer amount of people that showed up last night. It was practically a packed house!

There were definitely some interesting discussions. I think the City Engineer was definitely put on the spot, because when asked about the Woodford project, he said with great exasperation, "it's on the list for 2008."

I'll definitely be attending more City Council meetings in the future. This is getting very interesting...
