ah, just had to bring this one back up.
look at the pretty snowww!
school tomorrow?
20 inches is a fair amount of snow!
it's funny because from next monday on...temps won't be below freezing anymore! and here we are burried under this stuff less than a week before.

No such luck, my bet. They might cancel due to temperature but unless the snow covers up the doors, I somehow think they won't be closing. They still haven't cancelled tonight's school meetings...and those would normally be the first to go.
(wouldn't mind staying home with my kids tomorrow, though...but we will see...Governor declared state of emergency, I hear, so you never know).

While I hate to see the kids miss another day of school, we are a walking community and deep snow is difficult to walk through, especially when it seems that most people do not even attempt to clear their walkways.
I would be concerned if the snow forced kids to walk in the streets. If it is bad in the morning, I would hope the superintendent would do what was best for the safety of the children, close school, and worry about the missed days later.

They predict 35 mile per hour winds tomorrow. That will make awful snow drifts.
Get ready to shovel again, Ivor!

I shoveled at 4 PM and you wouldn't know it by looking back out. Snow is up almost over my van's tires. Ugh.

My daughter just got a call from a classmate that Lakewood Schools are closed tomorrow. Also, on the WKYC website the status has changed from evening activities cancelled (except for the boundary meetings

) to Closed.
SNOW DAY?

I did hear that they plan to hold a second boundary session, especially considering the weather. From what I hear they were looking to Thursday as the second/alternate thing. They really want to make some decisions on the boundaries a.s.a.p. but also want the most input they can get from the citizens.
Be safe, all!

I am again grateful that they closed the schools. It's wicked out there.

If the governor shuts down the state, no one is going in to work...

Just got back a little while ago from the boundary meeting. I would like to thank Dr. Estrop for pushing my car out of the snow. I am really glad they canceled school tomorrow, it is a nightmare out on the streets. There are plenty of plows just way too much snow and wind. I am looking forward to a day outside tomorrow. We could all use some fresh air and some good snow to play in. Have fun all.

what do you guys think? snow day tomorrow?
schools around here are starting to close...
fairview...magnificat...bay...parma...st.marks.
it's not too bad out, it's just the waist high snow on all the sidewalks that is troubling. We can't walk in the street.. and not everyone shovels their sidewalks!
we'll see tomorrow morning!
snow parade

I enjoyed how Fox 8 preempted many hours of their programming to cover the snow.
On Air personalities were stationed all over town, showing us live footage of backgrounds of gray and white. A few slow moving shadows could be seen crawling over the roads.
