I get it, so BP is not that bad because they destroyed Prince William Sound and The Gulf of Mexico?
?
Jim,
It appears that R.T.A shares the values of Direction and Communication.
Are you saying BP values destruction?

I was only there on the inside for a little more than a decade.
They value oil.
period
RTA favors the illusion that benefits them.
I say we care about them as much as they care about us. No buses for seniors, or kids, really?
No buses for Councilman Juris's drunk, really?
Well I am thinking no bus lanes on Clifton.
Bill Call is right about many things, one is why do we have to ticket our residents to get people from
Bay Village and Avon downtown 5 minutes faster? We owe them nothing, we owe our residents everything.
FWIW

Nearly one-third of Lakewood residents rely on RTA for transportation, and that number will grow with improved service, Summers said.
Does anyone know where he came up with this number?
Sorry I am late to this party, but according the U.S. Census, they estimate that 6.3% of the
workforce in Lakewood (which they peg at a total of 28,058 people) commute to work on public transportation. This would exclude retired seniors and minors using the buses and, presumably, college students commuting to school. 6.3% is higher than the state average of 1.7%. It's still much less than a third.

Paul,
Thank you for that link!
Jim and I were part of that 6.3% today. It was actually quite a nice ride downtown. I think he will be posting pictures at some point in the future.

MORE SIGNS!!! RTA has put bus only signs on ever light pole through Lakewood and Cleveland. As if signs every 15 feet were not getting the message across. RTA must really think Rocky River and Bay drivers are idiots if they haven't gotten the message yet...
This is INSANE. The leadership of Lakewood has let Clifton get littered with junk signs that are lowering property values and creating an eyesore.

If we can believe the mayor, which at this point is tough, I can't wait for the secret federal audit to happen before we can trash those signs. Although I hate the fact we wasted tax dollars in the first place it will be a great day when we can destroy them.

The other night at the motorcycle/car accident, the final shot had a friend of the girl
in the car getting in the ambulance, and a partial shot of the bust stop at night.
As I was looking through them I was amazed at how bright the shelters were at night.

A bright blue lights, you can see easily from at least a half mile away.
