Honestly I'm not going to say anything other than there are so many things I could say.

I'll let you all decide what I mean by that.

Let's all look at this in a positive light.

Counting the blue jays, hawks, doves, squirrels, chipmonks, and other nut-gatherers present, I'm sure there were thousands listening to the Governor speak. Let's not quibble over numbers here.

As for "sparse" as an applicable adjective? IF and only IF the Governor, or anyone else, felt that way, perhaps it simply lent an air of Alaskan rustic comfort memories to the tree-shaded event.

Those red pom-poms blended beautifully with the sugar maple leaves.

And yes, one more day...in Lakewood.

It was good for Lakewood that she came. She is perhaps the central woman in history right now, and she came right here...to this place and time.

Godspeed Sarah Palin. Come again soon.

To compare crowds at a Sunday night event with the top of the ticket vs. a Monday morning one with the VP is unfair at best.

For comparison, Biden's first stop this morning drew 400. Not 4000. 400.

I wasn't on this particular site four years ago, but I remember seeing a lot of reveling and some smarmy, snotty comments from the Republican party in power back then as they enjoyed the spotlight and massive crowds. So, um, don't be all horrified now that you are all in the minority after a long sojourn in the driver's seat.

It's one thing if it bothers you as a general rule of thumb, but quite another when you only cry foul once your guys are kicked off the playground.
