In case people forget - The Bin has a great selection of vegetarian and vegan options along with really nice produce.

Oh and one of the best prepared food sections in town.

The Mustard Seed is quite nice ... but the prices are a lot higher than Whole Foods ... my wife and I went to the Whole Foods at Cedar Center, and then on the same day we headed over to Mustard Seed to compare ... and in some cases, the prices were outrageously higher! So it's a tough thing. You want to support the local company, but then you also have to mind your budget. So we do both a bit, because there's some things at Mustard Seed that Whole Foods doesn't have, and vice-versa. That said, I still think some of the best produce in the area is at Miles Road Farm Market!

I do wonder what else is going in at Westgate. The developers have kept a lot of things close to the vest, unlike other shopping developers who quickly drop names about who the incoming merchants are going to be.

Interesting ... I checked out the forum on urbanohio.com, which has a section dedicated to construction projects in the Cleveland area ... and a hot rumor is that Trader Joe's is going to build a store at Steelyard Commons.

I wish a real farmers market like the old North Olmsted Danny Boy's would open up there. One that supports local food.

Packed. It's definitely a great place for kids and families. It's a ripoff for two people. I can join the Westlake rec center because I work in Westlake, for way less than what the Y charges and it's much larger, but it's not convenient for my husband or me.

What happened to shopping Lakewood's local shops? Between Nature's Bin and Rozi's, I think the two far surpass Trader Joe's.

One stop shopping convenience is not always that convenient, especially when it cuts into Lakewood's Hometown Shops.

My own bias.

Keep in mind that I am also comparing this to being home with kids for five years and working out to tapes-VHS. Venturing back out into the world and the beautiful new Y did feel like a spa to me!!! This may be the only year I can use it during the day so I am taking advantage. I think because we are a family it is worth it since five can use it, but other than that I don't know how it compares. I do like the machines how they are all programmed with your code to remind you how much weight you need! And anyone with young kids we are loving the Indian Adventure Guides. Camping tonight! Huge party for the kids! Thank the lord for blow up mattresses!
