Those obnoxiously loud motorcycles are another example Rick but you'll notice they don't rev them up when the police are near by. Likewise, the music gets turned down.
I watched a guy last night (around 7:00 pm) on Detroit near Giel urinate in plane view on the street while he was waiting for a bus. This was right next to La Pita Express I think it's called. Just gets better all the time in Lakewood... I was sitting in a shop across the street waiting for something at the time. In 45 minutes not one police car drove by - this is a busy area of Lakewood. I got to see this ghetto dude pee twice though. Aren't I lucky...
I
don't blame the police though. There aren't enough police. They can't be everywhere all the time. We just need more of them. I see "selling the brand" of Lakewood here on LO and like I've said here before, if you want to sell the brand (?) clean it up. If you are going to sell your house or something, you clean it right? Somebody mentioned about an emergency levy to hire more police in another thread (was it Mark Crnolatas?), that's an increase I would vote for. Maybe.

I used to play Hendrix full volume driving around in my car.
Yeah. Me too. Still do. But not if I think it might bother someone or a neighbor. It's just common respect for the people around you. That's something that seems to be going away... common respect.

Has anyone else noticed that no matter what the issue, the complaint is the same.
Housing - no enforcement
Noise - no enforcement
Crime - no enforcement
Yup...

Crime, they are talking of night court they are so busy.
It's getting that bad? Sound like they do need a night court, eh?
Again, I don't blame the police. In most cases. I just think more are needed.
