DK - 1- Believe Cleveland City Council proclamation occurred in 1998 not your 1995 . I am under the impression that supposedly? newspapers and other print media strive toward 100% correctness goal so suggest you check different dates and if warranted correct date in future posts

JOB
http://www.sunnews.com/news/1998/1217/acmunylight.htm

DK 2- Surprised and disappointed that an apparently educated person - ie editor indulges himself in taking cheap shots at another's educational credentials . But this reflects more on you than me .

JOB - Dennis, this was in the middle of a firestorm of hate against the congressman and his wife!, the man's wife. But I have to correct you. I am not the editor nor educated. I merely pay the bills and try to stay out of it until people get really unfair, or crazy.

DK - 3- Have found in my technical career that some people can handle multiple correspondences on several parallel levels while for others it is best to proceed on a single series approach . question1 leads to answer 1 then question 2 answer 2 etc . Obviously for you the one step at a time is being tried .

JOB - Thanks for the understanding. Still waiting for you to multi-task yourself. Was Barbara Anne Farris for the war?

DK - 4- Finally I thought my "original Question " has been explained several times over , yet you say I have not done this . So for "your sake" I will try to post it again ? The Question " What has our present Congressional Representative done specifically for the residents of Ohio District 10 over the past 2 or 9+ years ? " Don't know how to say it more directly without potentially influencing your possible answer .

JOB - Do not know how else to answer it but I am trying to be complete. Do not need you in a hissy fit for incomplete. While we wait for me, as I have not been paid nor have I ever donated to either candidate unlike you, and operate 3 businesses which is hard with single tasking and no education.

Again while we wait for my list, you might at least tell me what you think Barbara Anne Ferris believes are the top 5 problems for Lakewood, or even this region.

Dennis, you have to understand I was not making fun of your college education, far from it. The letters phd just do not mean a damn thing to me. I need to judge the person, as I am not voting for you, it means even less. I must judge Barbara Anne Ferris, you know, birds of a feather, how they act in public, etc.

...and Barbara has been advised of these antics.

It is perfectly within her right to ignore the situation; however, that leads me to wonder how she will respond to situations in congress that are uncomfortable for her. Ignore them? Not exactly what I want in a representative.

I dont her accountable for this person's behavior - but I do hold her accountable for her own lack of action. It is not a far stretch to say that this type of inaction could lead me to believe that the Lakewood constituency is unimportant to her.

In direct response to this discussion: I feel that it is completely inappropriate to discuss the congressional record of ANY representative in such narrow terms. We elect people to the Congress and the Senate to represent us in MANY matters - some that result in direct benefits and some that result in indirect benefits. The vote for or against NCLB is certainly as important as a vote for or against subsidies for a potential employer and each aspect of the record should be evaluated.

re J O'Bryan 4/10 8:40pm post

1- Agree with most of what you posted

2- re DK3JOB - I have found by personal experience and experimentation that triangles often fail and so I prefer the 1:1 approach . As such , answers about Ferris positions should come from her , her website or e-mails/phone calls to her office staff ( www.ferrisforcongress.com and 440-842-3600 ) . So your questions about her position on the war , her top 5 Lakewood or Dist 10 problems need to come from her not me .

I agree - you , your readers and other voters NEED to know about the candidates positions , approaches , work habits , attitudes etc. . I believe it is for these reasons (since kucinich as most other incumbents " hide ") that the Ferris visit to the Lakewood Office occurred . My single question to you applies equally well to djk - Justify your 2 or 9+ years of congressional efforts before I give you my vote . But based upon past experiences he will never respond .

Consequently my or for that matter your views are very secondary to this discussion but are better than what djk is providing ie NOTHING not even a discussion/debate of views and issues . Note his web site talks about Open Debate yet he closes the door and hides when he is the incumbent . POOR at best - often PATHETIC

3-Finally letters like PhD , MD , DO , DDS , PE etc should mean something to most and hopefully are taken as a sign of advanced training in some field possibly associated / needed for insights into the ongoing problem - be it medical , engineering , political etc .- All can be very smart but only a dedicated few can be recognized as well educated . Earned letters after ones last name tend to favor the latter .

To Sharon ( aka Charyn )

1- As per the rules of this site which you previously quoted in regard to another phony ID poster : REAL first and Last names required (not pseudo business names )

2- Since in a previous post you suggested I be sure to spell your name correctly - Sharon it is

3- Finally - Grow Up - Not another " I'm going to tell Barbara " post from you .

DK - 1- Agree with most of what you posted

Then would you also agree it was the banks with business and the PD that railroaded the deal and made Congressman Kucinich to look like a fool even though in the end the choice was correct?

DK - 2- re DK3JOB - I have found by personal experience and experimentation that triangles often fail and so I prefer the 1:1 approach . JOB - Barbara is a member of this forum and I will send her an email. I will send the same to Congressman Kucinich.

JOB - I believe what really frustrates me so often with a discussion like this is what other Democrat got anything done. What alone one that has never supported this illegal war. Still Dennis has never stopped working for the people. As I mentioned and am finding more and more. His work for Food Information is huge. this is the new nightmare, and it is here. I am not talking about labels, I am talking about his work with genetically engineered crops and foods. Already two whole industries have been ruined by experiments that got out of hand. These are mistakes that cannot be cleaned up or put back in the bottle. Only Dennis has takena pro-active stance on this. Like the war others are starting to understand.

Likewise I would encourage you to talk with Elizabeth and/or Dennis about problems with the money system. Not to sound like and idiot, but her knowledge of currency, history, uses, alternatives, etc. is amazing. Community currency is a topic I am into, she is very, very sharp. And equally sharp on a variety of other issues.

DK - Consequently my or for that matter your views are very secondary to this discussion but are better than what djk is providing ie NOTHING not even a discussion/debate of views and issues . Note his web site talks about Open Debate yet he closes the door and hides when he is the incumbent . POOR at best - often PATHETIC

JOB - It is not pathetic, and if Barbara Anne Ferris was the incumbent, she would not be eager to debate anyone. But instead of attacking, why not hear what she would do? I'll be honest even when I am disappointed by the lack of the Democrats to get things through congress I never forget those with fortitude, and strength. Once again I witnessed Dennis Kucinich put his career on the line voting no on the War Powers Act. Something we all knew was crazy. Well 50%. The other 50% are starting to wake up.

DK - 3-Finally letters like PhD , MD , DO , DDS , PE etc should mean something to most and hopefully are taken as a sign of advanced training in some field possibly associated / needed for insights into the ongoing problem - be it medical , engineering , political etc .- All can be very smart but only a dedicated few can be recognized as well educated . Earned letters after ones last name tend to favor the latter .

JOB - Yeah OK, sure whatever floats your boat. In my world, it doesn't get you much. Grandma always told me, "the proof is in the pudding." Not sure what that means but I imagine I something like I have met a bunch of ignorant hypocrites with letters after their names. Not you, but many that came before you. Sat in a lecture with Dr. Death today. Filled with lies, out of date numbers. Matter of fact one of the things that bother me most of Academia is how they depend on the work of others in Academia, and not in the real world.

Side note - I had the extra $10.00 to become a doctor of divinity back when I could be drafted. My second cousin became a Doctor in Haiti for $5,200, and when I was needing to get paged at Pier W for a quick money game of backgammon, they always paged Doctor O'Bryan. However I am sure yours is better. Framed?

Dennis:

As for the spelling of my name - yes, it is on my birth certificate as Sharon; however, 'Charyn' is a perfectly viable alias -at least according to the FBI, the military, social security, etc. - and is the more common spelling in virtually all aspects of my life. As such - I am not violating any rules of this site by signing on as 'Charyn' instead of 'Sharon' - for all intents and purposes it is my most common "real" name. But feel free to split that hair... everyone needs a hobby i suppose...

And I did not say in my last posts that I was going to tell Barbara anything, did I? I stated that she had been informed and that I would take note of her action/inaction in this matter as a matter of consideration in my decision as to whether or not I would vote for her. Yes, that is paraphrased - in the event that my intent and meaning was not clear in my first post it is my hope that it is more clear now.

And as far as the letters after one's name?? To quote Kate: "HAHAHAHA"

Flattered,

Sharon

re your post of 4/10 10:53 pm "And I did not say in my last posts that I was going to tell Barbara anything . did I ?"

Guess I don't know what your 4/10 9:34 pm post of " .... and Barbara has been informed of these antics" means .

nor your March 8 4:25 pm post - same subject of " And BTW - ask Barbara about me if you like ( she'll likely remember better is ( sic ) you get the spelling right ) You can be sure I will be calling her to tell her about your behavior ....."

Or perhaps using your logic , the words "informed' and "calling her to tell her " mean different things to people with or without " letters after one's name ? "

My only comment here.

As a tradtiional Republcan, I have very little in common philosophically with Rep, Kucinich,

However, Mr. Kampe appears to be right, Dennis has done very little for the district, if you define "doing something" as bringing home his share of the pork.

We have no "bridges to nowhere," no massive highway expansions, no Steamtowns (look it up).

He hasn't sucked on the federal teat, and frankly, that's one reason this Republican may actually vote for him this time around.

Probably no one wanted to hear THAT.

i changed the way i spelled my name too......

in high school. i used to dot my i's with big smiley faces too but i digress.

this morning i woke up to a dennis! sign on my lawn. what's up with that? can people just put political signs on lawns that are not their own?

i was going to just throw it in the trash but i've since rethought it out and i have grand plans for my new dennis! lawn sign. anyone know size/content rules for political lawn signs?

and grace, i was pretty peeved about the sign and still stinging a bit til i clicked that wikipedia link...all is well in the world, thanks for the chuckle.

It is ironic that Democrats are angry at Republicans even though Republicans have bought into the spend, spend, spend mentality. There is aboulutely no fiscal discipline.

I can't see that the Democrats would be any better but I hesitate to vote for a Republican for fear that they may take my vote as approval for their actions.

We have moved from a republic to democracy to a kleptocracy. When my guy is elected he steals from you. When your guy is elected he steals from me.

At this point I say to hell with fiscal discipline. I want mine. If I can imagine it the Feds should pay for it. I mean, after all, aren't we all victims?

Joan

You had me till the last line?!

Bill

I think there can be democrats that are not into spending like drunken sailors. I also think there are compassionate conservatives though the name has been hijacked by the neo-cons.

To both an all. I look at Dennis Record and it is filled with really good ideas that not only serve this district, but the nation. Sadly many fall on death ears, and dead ends thanks to this administration, and the slant on congress. I can deal with it that is the way the game is played. But to say the man is not working, or even more to the point bringing home the pork. Makes me think just how much he is committed to his ideas.

We need no bridges to no where. We need the economy fixed, immigration fixed, the nightmare with money fixed, food supplies fixed, energy conservation pushed ahead, and the damn war over. This of what this war cost and what it has accomplished. Certainly that money could have been better spent. Imagine had the government followed along the path that was handed to it for another 5-7 years. The national debt would have been paid off. It does not take a genius to understand that paying 72 cents of every tax dollar in interest to a failed money system is bankrupting the country! If we had not gone on the drunken sailor spending spree that means we would have 300% more money available to the country. that would mean real tax cuts, real increases in education and business loans.

Once again when congressman Kucinich voted no against the War Powers Act, he was casting a vote towards the solvency of America. Even if it cost his his job. This sounds way more familiar than the accusation that he flip flops, just to get votes.
